Banana Tree’s Got Gotten

In the early hours of this morning our temperature dropped down to the coldest of the season, 23f. Needless to say that the Musa Basjoo and Chinese Yellow Banana are done for the season. It has been a long growing season with them growing from late-March or early-April and they have grown all the way up to now, November 6. The Musa Basjoo reached 11ft. Here are the graphic pictures:

I think now it is time to cut them down soon and mulch over them so that they stay warm. Then I just have to wait for the warmer spring weather to make them pop put of the ground. I just hope next year brings more natural water in the form of rain.
